The CMTS-1000 has 1 downstream and 8 upstream ports. Upstream capacity can be increased by adding upstream cards. It can support up to 2,000 cable modems. It is very cost effective and scalable - a great unit for new or small to medium-sized systems. It is easy to install & has an integrated upconvertor. It is equivalent to the Cisco uBR 7223 / 7246 or the Motorola BSR-1000.
Arris Cornerstone CMTS 1100 / 1500 (DOCSIS 1.1 & EURODOCSIS 1.1)
The similar Arris CMTS-1100 or CMTS-1500 units have several advanced features for more demanding environments. They are also very cost effective and scalable - great units for delivering quality VOIP (Voice Over IP) or QOS services. The CMTS 1100 or 1500 unit is an excellent alternative to the Cisco uBR 7111 / 7114 / 7111E / 7114E / 7246VXR or Motorola BSR 1000.
